NDU-The 13th International Civilian & Military Joint Crisis Game

The “International Civilian & Military Joint Crisis Game” will enter its 13th year, and this year, this event is an essential annual event of the international strategic community. The theme of this year’s event will be “The Impact of the Formation of Carrier Battle Groups on the Security of the Indo-Pacific in the Centennial Year of the CCP’s Military Establishment in 2027”, and the scenarios will be designed regarding the “Russo-Ukrainian War,” the “Fourth Taiwan Strait Crisis” in 2022, as well as the “Israeli-Palestinian War” that broke out in October 2023.

The scenarios include “China’s Military Projection and Expansion Threats in the Western Pacific,” “Joint Defense Mechanisms of Regional Democratic Alliances,” “Economic Confrontation and Cooperation between Indo-Pacific Democracies,” and “the threat of China’s Gray Zones and Hybrid Warfare,” etc. Graduate students from various countries will play the roles of different countries in the crisis decision-making process from the perspective of national security strategies for the scenarios. 

The Crisis Game, hosted by the College of International Security and Defense Affairs(ISDAC), National Defense University, is the best military-civilian and international cooperation joint decision-making educational event. Graduate students interested in crisis decision-making and war games are welcome to assemble a team to participate in our event. Come Join US!!!

*Activity Date: Dec. 7th 2023 (Thu.) 9AM-5PM.

*No Registration & Attendance Fee (limiton the number of people: 80) Each institute needs to assign one person to be the team leader to facilitate the contact process.

B. 5th Dec. from 4:30-5PM.

*This crisis game is the annual academic exchange activity of the GISS, NDU. However, due to the relevant regulations of the MND, people from Hong Kong, Macao and mainland China are not yet able to join the game. Please do not sign up.

*Please bring your passport or valid ID on the day of the event, which will be verified at the shuttle bus station and venue site.
