The Department of Foreign Languages & Literature at National Sun Yat-sen University in Kaohsiung, Taiwan (R.O.C.), invites applications for one<\/strong> full-time position.<\/p>\n

Successful applicants should:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Have a Ph.D. in Translation Studies (Chinese\/English translation), Interpreting Studies, or a related field.<\/li>\n
  2. Be able to teach any of the following courses: \u201cTranslating English Texts into Chinese,\u201d \u201cTranslating Chinese Texts into English,\u201d Oral Interpretation\u201d (Chinese\/English Interpreting), \u201cTranslating Journalistic Writing,\u201d \u201cLiterary Translation,\u201d etc.<\/li>\n
  3. Have published at least 1 article within the past five years in a journal indexed in SSCI (Social Sciences Citation Index), AHCI (Arts & Humanities Citation Index), TSSCI (Taiwan Social Sciences Citation Index), or THCI Core (Taiwan Humanities Citation Index Core).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Qualified applicants whose areas of specialty can complement the existing strengths of the department and\/or expand our current curricula are particularly welcome to apply.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    4. Photocopy of PhD diploma (or MOE teaching certificate)<\/li>\n
    5. Verification of current employment<\/li>\n
    6. Three letters of recommendation<\/li>\n
    7. Offprints\/samples of at least two publications within the last five years<\/li>\n
    8. Descriptions of at least two language-related courses you have taught or propose to teach<\/li>\n
    9. Photocopy of ID\/Passport or ARC<\/li>\n
    10. A five-to-ten-minute video file of a teaching demonstration (please supply the link to the video file)<\/li>\n
    11. Other relevant supporting materials<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
