As Taiwan’s first national institute of Translation & Interpretation studies, we provide Master’s degree, including Translation and Interpreting Program and Conference Interpreting Program. In 2003, we set up the only Ph.D. Programs in Taiwan.

 

A.  Course

(1)Master’s degree

Minimum credits requirement:

T&I Program: 38 credits

CI Program: 46 credits

Required courses for both Programs:

Introduction to Translation and Interpretation, Sight Translation, Research Methods and Thesis Writing

(2)Doctor’s degree

Minimum credits requirement: 30 credits

B.  Foreign Language Proficiency Test (for students enrolled after 2014)

For Non-English native speakers:

GEPT Advanced Level first stage; or

TOEFL ibt 105; or

IELTS 7; or

TOEIC 900

For Non-Mandarin native speakers:

TOCFL Level 5; or

NEW HSK 6

* All students may take GITI’s qualification exam or Chinese and English Translation and Interpretation Competency Examinations, instead of the above mentioned Language Proficiency Tests.
